A photography study on tone, shade, and hue are included from my first semester in architecture school. These photos were all taken on my college campus and captured places and things I walked by, through, or on every day as I went to class. This project allowed me to see my monotonous, daily routine as a design opportunity; I found the importance of focusing on the seemingly unimportant parts of my day and recognized that they too, were influenced by design.

The image below was taken as a part of this study and then drawn over a period of 40 hours. Slow, deliberate, shading and attention to tone or lack thereof was my focus when creating this drawing.
